DBI Today: 58.7 (−0.3)

The Daily Business Index slipped to 48.7 on Monday, drifting a touch further below the 50 neutral line as weekend Iranian drone strikes on the UAE, Kuwait and Qatar undercut what had been a record-setting end to last week for US stocks. The global picture remained split: American equities sat at all-time highs after a blowout April jobs print, but consumer sentiment in the world's largest economy crashed to a record low, and the Middle East refused to calm down.
